Soft start and variable speed (6000-20000 OPM) means that it can be used on all sorts of different jobs from delicate sanding up to aggressive cutting. Various saw, scraper and sanding accessories are available for this unit turning this piece of kit into a versatile tool. Unfortunately the kit itself only comes with a single bi-metal cutting blade so you’ll need to pick up some different attachments before you get to work.
Running on standard 1.5 Ah Makita 18v LXT batteries if you plan on working large jobs it’s a good idea to have a few extras handy. This model normally comes as a bare tool so check with the seller if you require batteries. This model fits nicely in the hand thanks to a small diameter grip and with the whole multi-tool only weighing 4.5 Lbs it is comfortable and easy to handle. The large on/off switch that is located on the top of the body comes with a handy lock facility.
